The Ephemeral Table
The Ephemeral Table is combining two beloved Columbus industries: art and food. The audience, seated in the house or at the table on the stage, is invited to join the dancers as they embody and explore (over-)consumption. What or who do we consume regularly? Is it taken in mindfully or mindlessly? Is it helpful or harmful, and to whom? Come dine, devour, and dance with us.
Liz is collaborating with Freedom a la Carte in downtown Columbus. The table will be set with what Freedom a la Carte poignantly calls #CauseCuisine, as they support, empower, educate, and often employ survivors of sex trafficking. The sex trade is the most heinous example of using people, exhausting them of their inherent value, and Freedom a la Carte is breaking that wheel.
